We all need places to gather the things we use everyday. The objects we choose for this purpose should be more than just useful. They should provide interest, even inspiration. I create pieces for this purpose using vintage and salvaged materials because of the history these materials carry and the stories they can inspire. I'm always drawn to suprising situations that cross the line into 'over the top'. Old science fiction movie posters are a good example with their outsized animals attacking small towns. So with a prized piece from an old Flash Hand Cleaner tin can and Superman who is always there in a flash, I was on my way.
