We all need places to gather the things we use everyday. The objects we choose for this purpose should be more than just useful. They should provide interest, even inspiration. I create pieces for this purpose using vintage and salvaged materials because of the history these materials carry and the stories they can inspire. Description
This vintage circus poster is from 1898. It features Madame Yucca, the female hercules. I was so suprised to see a woman being promoted as a strongman. She even uses the name of an incredibly tenacious plant. I left the tray empty because she definitely deserved all the attention.The shelf is edged with a colorful vintage pretzel tin in keeping with a circus theme.
