This photo of the Pantheon was taken c1910. The image in the tray is part of the Nolli Map, the most accurate survey of Rome in the first half of the eighteenth century. If you look carefully you can see the outline of the Pantheon. The edging is copper which evokes the colors of Rome the copper plates the map was engraved on.
