We all need places to gather the things we use everyday. The objects we choose for this purpose should be more than just useful. They should provide interest, even inspiration. I create pieces for this purpose using vintage and salvaged materials because of the history these materials carry and the stories they can inspire. Description
Dizzy Gillespie circa 1948. One of the best parts of this photo are the podiums with Be Bop written on them. Dizzy was traveling overseas in 1948 bringing his new kind of jazz to the continent. The image in the tray is from an old catalog 1914 catalog that sold everything from trumpets to telescopes. The shelf is edged in brass like the instruments.
