We all need places to gather the things we use everyday. The objects we choose for this purpose should be more than just useful. They should provide interest, even inspiration. I create pieces for this purpose using vintage and salvaged materials because of the history these materials carry and the stories they can inspire. Description
The bathing suits are from the 1920's, and one of the ladies has a pagaent sash. I've always imagined this to be a beauty pageant fundraiser in the way the scouts used to hold car washes. The image on the tray is from a 1914 catalog that sold everything from socks to plows. The salvaged wood on the edge of the shelf is weathered like the hurricane fencing on the beach and varies somewhat with each one
