We all need places to gather the things we use everyday. The objects we choose for this purpose should be more than just useful. They should provide interest, even inspiration. I create pieces for this purpose using vintage and salvaged materials because of the history these materials carry and the stories they can inspire. Description
When I was making this collage I was imagining a home decor photo shoot for birdhouses in the early fifties. Mr. and Mrs. at home in their living room. I added the clouds in the doorway since their house would be above ground. The clouds and wood from an old shutter on the shelf rounds out the theme. The vintage shutter wood varies somewhat with each one.
